What we noticed at NYFW

From authenticity in models, eyes and cheeks, we learned a lot while scouring through runway photos from NYFW this year. Here are four beauty tricks we noticed at the shows that we can’t wait to see this spring season (and beyond)!

The runway has never looked more authentic. From a pregnant model at Maia Ruthe Lee’ to diverse sizes and genders at Christian Siriano, the black and white boxes we’ve seen in the past on the runways are no more. Beauty is not just about the look on one person, but the look on that one person. Diversity – from races, to genders, to size and more – has never been more important in beauty industry than it is right now. This spring, be prepared to show off what makes you your fabulous authentic self!

Forget the smoky eye. Geometric and graphic eyeliner shapes were, in particular, noticeable at the shows of Tom Ford, Jason Wu and Diane Von Fusterberg. The spring season will be all about experimenting with your eyeliner to find new, fun ways to make your eyes pop. White eyeliner is also making a comeback, which can be achieved with Aloette’s Pearl Drop Eyesilk.

Golden highlighter. This is definitely going to be the highlighter shade of the season as it was seen everywhere, from Michael Costello to the Fenty Puma show. Shades of Fortune and Fame from Aloette can be swept across the cheekbones and applied to the inner corner of each eye for a golden goddess look.

Think Pink. Rosy beauty hues are always popular in spring and they will be a huge hit this season with pink shades swept across the eyes, cheeks and lips. Stay tuned for more shades coming to your Beauty Bento from Beauty by Aloette to get this look in Spring 😉
